In4Sustain project

In4Sustain aims to tackle environmental challenges of the European textile and clothing industry by upskilling the sector with cutting-edge competences for sustainability and circular entrepreneurial actions, while fostering a responsible consumption mindset among value chain actors and final users.

Objectives

Upskill the actors of the European textile and clothing sector toward the green transition while taking the consumer’s perspective into account.

Activities

Field research activities to promote knowledge sharing and consensus building among the In4Sustain stakeholders and target groups. (WP2)

- Stakeholders involvement and co-creation

Development of a methodological handbook, creation of training contents and a gamified learning platform to host the open access learning resources. (WP3)

- Methodologies and digital learning resources

Testing activities to validate the training contents and tools via a train-the-trainer programme for educators and a mini-accelerator programme for T&C employees. (WP4)

- Capacity building and Piloting

Creation of a travelling exhibition and public dissemination events across Europe to showcase sustainable innovations to actors of the textile industry and to clothing consumers in general. (WP5)

- Communication, dissemination and upscaling

Results

An European roadmap of innovation in learning methodologies to foster sustainability, and a guide containing tips and success stories on consumer engagement by fashion companies.

- Field research report and guidelines

A methodological handbook, training materials (OER) and a gamified learning platform helping T&C VET providers to deliver innovative training on sustainability.

- Training contents and tools

A mini-accelerator programme for T&C employees that includes hands-on sessions applying design-thinking to develop sustainable products and services for the clothing market.

- Portfolio of innovation projects

A showcase of the innovation projects and a series of “Sharing Days” hosted by the consortium partners to disseminate the project outcomes to the broader audience.
