At #In4Sustain, we believe it is important to keep At #In4Sustain, we believe it is important to keep up to date with what is happening in the industry, which is precisely why a visit to #Techtextil Frankfurt/Main is so valuable.

Here's a quick recap of Techtextil: these are just three examples that caught my eye.

The first picture shows the sustainability goals that companies are targeting, which serves as a reminder that many businesses are actively defining where they want to make an impact.

The second picture highlights a fascinating project: an embroidery programme that can correct mistakes in the fabric. This is a great example of how innovation can support more efficient, resource-conscious production.

The third picture shows a textile designed to protect plants from excessive sunlight by diffusing it — a smart solution that combines functionality with sustainability.

The most striking thing for me was that some companies are already putting sustainability at the centre of their work, while others are still taking smaller steps. However, one thing is clear across the board: no company can really move forward without considering sustainability.

This is precisely why fairs like Techtextil are so important. They are not only about seeing new products and technologies, but also about meeting people, having real conversations and understanding how different companies approach the same challenges.

Techtextil showcased innovation, responsibility, creativity and the direction in which our industry needs to move.

At #In4Sustain, we continue to support the transition towards more responsible and forward-looking textile solutions.

Let us know in the comments: what was your impression of the fair?

At the end of April, we organised a meeting with o At the end of April, we organised a meeting with our #in4sustain #ambassadors.
These meetings are always valuable opportunities for exchange and collaboration. They help us to stay close to the practical challenges and opportunities that arise throughout the project and provide an important platform for sharing insights, aligning goals and discussing future milestones.

One of the greatest advantages of working closely with our #ambassadors is the immediate feedback we receive. Through open discussions, we can evaluate our progress in real time, address potential issues and ensure that our project outputs reflect the needs and expectations of those involved.

Thank you very much to all our ambassadors for their commitment, constructive input and enthusiasm! Your contribution is a powerful driving force that helps us turn sustainability goals into measurable impact.

What if the most sustainable fabric is the one tha What if the most sustainable fabric is the one that already exists?

@stoff_anselma - Second-hand Store for Fabric, Wool, and Other Sewing Supplies (by @anselma.si, Ljubljana, Slovenija) is a “fabric antiquariat” giving leftover and unused textiles a second life. By redistributing surplus fabric, it turns waste into resources and supports circular, local textile practices.

A simple but powerful example of sustainability in action: reuse before producing new.

Our Slovenian partner came across this event @re.think.popupmarket, an event where people can buy and sell carefully selected second-hand clothing and give quality pieces a new chance. 👗👚

Events like this show how local community initiatives can support a more circular textile culture and encourage more mindful fashion choices.
